- walks in the woods wearing bright cozy sweaters
- watching birds and squirrels at the feeder during breakfast
- much reading, writing, and singing together
- afternoons spent sewing, baking, and making (today I made the Christmas table runner in the photo above)
- lists, shopping, and wrapping
- hot cocoa and a game of cards
- glitter and ribbon and twinkling lights
- cheerful letters and greeting cards
- weather watching--and wishing for snow
- warm blankets, long nights, and hopeful dreams
