Yarn Along Wednesday :- )

(I'd forgotten how much fun this is!)

I just finished reading, I Capture The Castle, by Dodie Smith. I started reading it after it was recommended by fellow knitter, reader, gardener, and chicken keeper: Paula of Scotland. I loved this book. When I got to the end I had a lump in my throat because I was so sad that it was over. The ending is one of the most perfect, hopeful endings I have ever read. I hardly ever read the same book twice, but I really do want to read this one again.

Last week I pulled out the Tea Leaves cardigan I began working on last winter. Can you believe I have not knit a stitch in all that time?  I was having trouble with my right hand last winter and knitting became so painful, that I was forced to take a break from it. Then I began working on a big writing project that took up all of my free time, and I am just now getting back to all of the other things that I enjoy. It is sooooooo good to have wool in my hands again :- )

And, it is especially fun to be "yarning along" with Ginny and all of you.

  1. I love "I Capture the Castle" ... wonderful read! I'm glad to hear that I'm not the only one out there with WIPs from months past. I really would love to knit a Tea Leaves Cardi but not until I finish up my other projects :)

  2. I just finished a good book and was in the hunt for another good read - so, it looks like I may have to get my hands on "I Capture the Castle". Can't wait to see how your Tea Leaves Cardi looks when it's done!
    happy knitting!

  4. The color of your cardigan is so rich and lovely. I'm thinking it didn't mind waiting patiently to be finished. ;-) I have also picked up my knitting after a long break; a pair of very simple socks. The heel is a bit wonky but that's okay. I know the second one will come out smoother and the first one can hide inside my slippers or shoes.
